Having a Dream Within a Dream!

I kept having a recurring vision where I was lying at the steps of a small, white church. The church was located right at the foot of the Lord. The interpretation of this vision was clear to me – He was teaching me to live my life according to His will, whether I was working, taking care of my family, or doing other activities.

I continued praying, meditating, and talking to God. I asked Him, “ Why do I not see my children and my husband in these dreams and visions?” Since God was communicating with me in this way, I kept asking Him to show me, either through the dreams or through His word, that my children and husband would be kept safe in His shelter.

God said in Matthew 7:7, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

How silly of me! Of course He has them in a safe place. He loves them more than I do! After all, He created them and they are His children. A few weeks later, I had another dream. As I was again lying at the foot of the Lord, exhausted by a long journey, I experienced a dream within the dream I was having. Wow! I had never experienced anything like this before.

The Lord showed me where exactly my husband and my children were. I saw the Lord seated on His throne in very high place, magnificent and glorious. In this dream-within-a-dream, there were two of “me”. The first one was me at the age of 6, sitting next to the Lord – He was at my right hand. The other one was me as an adult sitting right at His knees. Dressed in a traditional costume from my native country, I was robed in bright, rich colors – green, red, yellow, purple and some black. The veil over my head was green with gold trim.
I saw my two children as babies sitting on either side of the Lord. Hanging behind me was a pretty, white, lacy drape. It seems to be separating the place into two sections. My husband was behind the drape peeking through it, as if he was wondering whether he should enter. In reality he had some questions and was very cautious about his faith. It took him awhile but as time went by he eventually got closer to God. In later visions, I would see him standing right behind me and finally joining us with the Lord.

(Daniel 2:22)
“He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him.”

I felt so relieved and my heart was filled with gratitude and thankfulness to see my family in a safe place. The Lord is so gracious to me. My faith became stronger and my trust more deeply rooted. I now know how high and wide God’s love is for us. It is not about what I do to deserve such a love. It is all about who God is and what He has done me and for all of us. Nevertheless, there was still a lot of spiritual work to be done. (Ephesians 2:8) “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,…”
God doesn’t give you a dream to keep to yourself or hide it, He has a reason for it and will use it for His purpose. Don’t let anyone or anything in life convince you otherwise.

Read the story of Joseph in (Genesis 37:1-11)
Joseph was one of the most famous dreamers, and dream – interpreters in the Bible. His brothers called him a dreamer. They didn’t appreciated his dreams and hated him.
Little did they know, God was revealing the future to Joseph through dreams and was going to do amazing things through him. The bothers witnessed later on how God had blessed Joseph with an abundance of blessings. When Joseph interpreted the king’s dream, then Pharaoh said to him, “Since God has revealed the meaning of the dreams to you, clearly no one else is as intelligent or wise as you are. You will be in charge of my court, and all my people will take orders from you. Only I, sitting on my throne, will have a rank higher than yours.” Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the entire land of Egypt” (Genesis 41: 39- 41)

“Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits – who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. (Psalm 103:1-5)

The Little White House On The Top Of The Mountain Was….

Seeing events in dreams and visions before they happen is a blessing. At times, however, it can be horrifying. I don’t mind having pleasant dreams, those which foretell of good things coming my way. But seeing struggles (conflicts, sickness, financial difficulties, job, or even the death of loved ones), is frightening. I cannot tell you why I have these dreams and visions, but I do experience them. I have asked God, “Why me?!”

img_0205

From reading His word, I could only conclude that I should count it as a blessing. He is preparing my heart for what is ahead on the road and teaching me to trust Him.

In this vision that I’m going to tell you about, God revealed great things to me, things that I had never seen before. I consider it an honor to have seen them.

Heaven was calling me! Finally I saw myself reaching the top of the mountain in my vision.
After learning many lessons on a long, hard journey, I arrived at the place where destiny called me. Sometimes I climbed and at other times I crawled. Life is a hike, and whether we crawl or climb, we’ll get there either way. I saw myself in the vision as I got closer to the top of the high mountain, I pulled myself up from a crawling position and stood up. I asked myself, “Am I there yet? No, not yet!” But I could see the top of the mountain clearly now – especially the little white house. It wasn’t as small as it appeared from the bottom of the mountain. I was exhausted from the long journey, not only from the relational, spiritual, and physical trials, but also from carrying everyone else’s problems on my shoulders. I was sinking under the weight of the heavy burdens.

The Lord was calling me:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
(Matthew 11:28 )

Ahhhhh! Now I recognized the little white house. So beautiful!!! It was a small, humble and very bright Church. I was getting closer and closer, higher and higher. The reason it was so bright, was because there was One who was dressed in pure white standing to the left of the door. He was glowing from head to toe, like a bright light. There was so much light beaming from Him that I couldn’t see His face. Such a marvelous sight! The air was fresh and filled with perfume. The trees, the ground, and the rocks were all glittering, shining from the reflection of His light. No questions needed to be asked. I knew who was standing there. My savior, my rock, my refuge, my stronghold, and my fortress! The Lord Jesus Christ!

By now you might wonder, “Why was He standing at the left side of the Church?” I wondered too. I asked myself, “Why was I standing at the right side of Church?” I checked the Bible afterward and read the following:
“The Lord stands at your right hand to protect you. …..” ( Psalm 110:5 )

I was crying with joy and trembling. I dropped back to the ground on my knees and bowed down. I was in total awe, praising and thanking Him for my deliverance!!! My soul was singing these words of praise:
O Lord, O my redeemer, my refugee. No wonder they call you the savior. You are so precious! You’re the anchor of my soul, my world, my everything, my sweet, sweet Jesus! I was blind before and now I can see you, my Lord!

I lifted my head up, and out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that the door of the Church was wide open. Peering in, I could see there were two long benches on each side, with a narrow aisle between them. I didn’t have the urge to go inside the Church. I had no need to enter, as all I could ask for was right before me. I was right at home in the presence of my Lord. I said to myself, “Finally, after so many struggles, I have arrived at my real home.”

“I called out to the Lord, He answered me from His Holy mountain.” (Psalm 3:4)

I laid down the heavy load of worry, pain, problems, accusations, blame and relational conflicts at the steps of the Church, Immediately I felt light-weight, as if I was floating on air. Trivial things, like whether someone was behind me or ahead of me on this journey, no longer mattered. I was no longer concerned what others thought of me, or if they judged me. It didn’t even matter if someone throw a stone at me to hurt me, because I knew with confidence that the Lord my savior would not allow them to bruise my soul. My soul was completely drenched in His Holy Spirit. I had reached the very place that I was called to. I pulled myself upright again and reached out with my right hand, drawing nearer to the Lord’s feet. I whispered in my heart, asking Him, “Who am I to You? “ I didn’t expect Him to answer my silly question. I don’t know why I asked such thing. I could have asked so many other things at such a time. But He answered me right away. I heard Him in my heart. He said, “You are anointed”. Wow! I am a blessed child of God! I laid there on my right side for a long time and He quieted my soul with His love. I thought to myself, “Finally I have arrived at a place of rest.” I didn’t want to be anywhere else except there with my Lord.

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”
( Zephaniah 3:17 )

He gave me a new life; how could I ever want anything else? I knew that nothing else could ever quench my thirst. Only his living water would satisfy me. I was kneeling, my face bowed down before the glory of God. I could hear the voices of birds and humans singing, “Praise His name, Praise His name”. Jesus is the light of God’s glory and exact representation of His being. He makes us right with God, our Heavenly Father.

Before I say goodbye to you for now, don’t forget this one thing! You are very precious to God, you are His anointed one. You’re loved by the creator of this world! Open the Bible, and you will see it for yourself. God will reveal himself to you. Ask and you shall receive.

Stay tuned, as there is more to come!  The dream continues.

A New Day, A New Dawn, And A New Life!

One day I was watching the Ellen show. She was interviewing a little girl named Emma, who was about three years old, and an extremely talented gymnast. Ellen asked her, “Do you ever get scared of falling?” Emma answered with her sweet and precious voice and without any hesitation, “NO! I don’t, because I get right back up.” Perfect answer! It was unbelievable to me that she could be so young and know so much.

When we stumble and fall in life, do we stay there and marinate ourselves in our disappointment, or do we get up and dust ourselves off and start over as Emma did, and move forward.

Children are so pure at heart. You have probably noticed that whenever children like something, they say, “Do it again”. Whether it’s a game, a place to go, etc. They don’t mind repeating something a hundred times. It’s the same with God. He is pure and holy. When He sees us fall, He says, “Get up and do it again”. The great thing about walking with God everyday in this life is that the door of opportunity is always open to start fresh. Over and over, He gives us a new day, a new dawn, and a new life. We witnessed the work of His loving hands all around us and saw many of His miracles last year. Let’s start the new year by taking a moment to thank Him for all He has done for us and to ask for forgiveness where we have failed.

“For Your name’s sake, O LORD, Pardon my iniquity, for it is great.”(Psalm 25:11)

If we are obedient to His calling, and dedicate our lives to serve Him by serving others, we will see His unfailing love navigating our lives. Remember no matter what this year bring us, He will not allow any circumstances to overwhelm us, so long as we look to Him humbly accept the gifts with which we’re blessed. After all, nothing will surprise Him and we can do nothing without His ALMIGHTY POWER. Let us start this year with hearts filled with love, compassion, understanding, forgiveness, and with NO judgement. Let’s stop listening to the lies. Instead, let’s embrace His love as He covers us with the robe of His righteousness. Let us step into life that He intends for us, trusting and thanking Him for the air we breathe, food to nourish our bodies, and shelter to rest.

In Isaiah 61:10 we are told:
“I am overwhelmed with joy in the LORD my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or a bride with her jewels.”

Last but not least, embrace 2017 with open minds and calm hearts to make sure the things we are chasing this year are God’s plan for our lives.
